CHIROPODY/ PODIATRY
Chiropodists/Podiatrists diagnose and treat abnormalities of the lower limb. They give professional advice on the treatment/prevention of foot problems and on proper care of the foot. Patients will be of all ages from infants to the elderly. Often we work in conjunction with Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, doctors, surgeons and other Health professionals.
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or "cold laser therapy" is on track to become one of the most important developments in life sciences since the discovery of penicillin, as it can relief most if not all types of pain. Evidence to show the benefits of LLLT, have been published by Goverment Research Agencies, BMJ, LANCET.
Although due to the current ecomonic crisis and goverment plans for cut backs in the Health Services, this treatment is unlikely to be available within the NHS in the near future.
